About
As a Senior Solutions Architect at Pulumi with over 15 years of experience in the IT industry, including roles at the Schwarz Group and W&W Versicherungen, I bring extensive expertise with an end-user and enterprise focus. Currently working for a startup while collaborating with enterprise clients has further enriched my experience! I began my career as a Java backend developer, transitioned to frontend development, and ultimately specialized in CI/CD and DevOps. Working with ANT and Cruise Control to switch to Jenkins and Microsoft Team Foundation Server added some traumas on top! But as they say, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. I have now embraced the dynamic world of DevOps and Platform Engineering, leveraging cloud technologies and Kubernetes. Recently, I have been exploring AI to find ways to make myself redundant in the future.

Your Coding Agents Need a Platform, Not a Laptop!
TalkCoding agents are spreading through companies the way cloud infrastructure once did: one personal account at a time, each set up however its owner saw fit. In practice, that means one developer's agent can read every credential on their laptop, while another runs with its permission prompts switched off because they slowed the work down. The last time this happened, the answer was internal developer platforms: paved roads of shared tooling and guardrails that made the sanctioned way also the fastest way. Coding agents now need their own paved road. That paved road is a background-agent platform: a shared service where agents take tasks, work asynchronously in isolated environments, and return their changes as pull requests. I will introduce this model through OpenInspect, an open-source implementation, tracing what happens from a request in Slack to the resulting pull request. You will see what the platform adds along the way, and how it lowers the technical barrier for product owners, customer experience teams, and others to turn their domain knowledge into proposed changes to code, documentation, and configuration.
